A countryside oasis, within the City of Lincoln, Hartsholme is a popular Green Flag Award winning park perfect for the whole family to relax and unwind in.

A Country Park since 1974 Hartsholme comprises of Victorian landscaped gardens, lakes, woodland and grasslands. Many features, both natural and built, survive from the original landscaping of Hartsholme Hall in the 1860s.

Whatever your age, interests or abilities, Hartsholme has something to offer all. A children’s play area, a comprehensive events program; an orienteering course, café, guided walks, nature trails or enjoy a gentle stroll in the scenic grounds!!

Just some of this summer’s activities are detailed below

New for 2016 – Toddler Time (Friday 17th of June and 15th July) A fun and exciting range of seasonal events for the under 5’s, dress to get messy!!

Six weeks summer holidays of fun kicks off with our Terrific Trees activity (Tuesday 26th July CU) Learn about these wonderful giants of the park, and take part in a craft session to see if you can make a tree smile!
You will be left asking who lives in a house like this, during Den Building (Thursday 28th July CU) where you can put your construction skills to the test.

Get all arty in our Mosaic Making workshop (Tuesday 2nd August) where you can create your very own tile to take home.

Discover the colorful world of butterflies whilst taking part in the Big Butterfly Count 2016 as well as lots of fun activities during Butterfly Bonanza (Thursday 4th August CU)

Explore the hidden depths, and delve beneath the surface of our wildlife pond to see what creepy critters are lurking below in the underwater world whilst taking part in our Pond Dipping event (Tuesday 9th August CU)

Let this little piece of Native American folklore trap all your bad dreams and let the good ones through when you make your very own Dream Catcher (Thursday 11th August)

Light up the night sky by constructing your very own willow and paper lantern at our Lantern Making workshop (Tuesday 16th August)

Get up close and personal with some seriously creepy creatures on the Bug Hunt (Thursday 18th August CU). Searching the meadow and looking under logs.

 

Build your very own Junk Boat (Tuesday 30th August CU ) from recycled materials and see if it will set sail!
