Join in the family fun at Hartsholme Country Park!!

Are you trying to think of new and exciting ways to entertain your children in the upcoming holidays? The good news is you don’t need to leave the city!


Throughout the Easter half term and beyond we have many different activities on offer to suit all children whether they are crafty, outdoorsy or just plain thrill seekers.


Just some of those events coming up this spring is our increasingly popular event for the under 5’s Toddler Time (Friday’s 20th April and 18th May) where you can get are a fun and exciting range of seasonal events for the under 5’s, we advise to dress to get messy!!


Get all arty in our Mosaic Making workshop (Thursday 5th April) where you can create your very own tile to take home.

Light up the night sky by constructing your very own willow and paper lantern at our Lantern Making workshops on Tuesday 10th April 10am to 11.30am at Boultham Park and Tuesday 29th of May 1pm to 2.30pm at Hartsholme


In the words of the song “With tuppence for paper and string”, create your very own masterpiece, and make a kite and see if it flies on Tuesday the 10th of April 1pm to 2.30pm at Hartsholme and Tuesday 29th May 10am to 11.30am at Boultham Park


Try your hand at a spot of willow weaving and see what you can create on Thursday the 12th of April 10am to 11.30am at the Arboretum


Discover the joys of flight by making your very own bottle rocket  (Thursday 12th of April 1pm to 2.30pm). This activity has lots going on, a satisfying ‘whoosh’, a high-speed departure and a good soaking if you are standing close!! This activity is also validated as a Childrens University event.



Make a date with nature on the weekends of the 14th, 21st and 28th of April by taking part in the RSPB’s annual Heron Watch to discover and learn more about these giants of the bird world.



Come along and enjoy the rides and browse the stalls at our annual Spring Fair (Saturday 12th May) where there will be lots to do for all the family.

Ahoy me hearties!! Why not come along and have a go at our pirate themed treasure hunt and see if you can find the pieces of eight!! (Thursday 31st May)



Continuing on from the success of 2017 our “travelling roadshow”, of events will be taking place throughout 2018 where we will be rolling out the events across the city to several more locations. So keep your eyes peeled for more fun and action packed events coming to a Lincoln green space near you!!!
