Join Access Lincoln for a free, fun packed day at Doddington Hall, celebrating all things cycling.

Cycle Fest has cycling activities for all the family to try, including a pump bike track, have a go mega bikes and karts, children’s mountain bike taster sessions, led rides for all the family, and a treasure hunt around Skellingthorpe Old Wood.

Giant Store Lincoln will have demonstration bikes and will be providing free bike safety checks. There will be food marquees to grab a bite to eat and lots of other entertainment for the family to have a great day out.

  • Summer Fayre at Bransby Horses, Bransby, LN1 2PH

11am-4pm

We have horse demonstrations, a trailer training and loading demonstration, a riding team display, falconry, children’s play zone, arts and crafts, a dog show, dog agility display, shopping (including a second-hand tack sale), glitter tattoos, charity stands, a barbecue and a wide selection of food and refreshments. There will also be the usual picturesque walkways available to enjoy a stroll, so you and your family can visit some of the horses, donkeys and mules who are living here.

Stagecoach are kindly providing a FREE bus service from Lincoln Train Station (first bus at 10.15am), Saxilby High Street (first bus at 10:30am), Sturton by Stow A1500 (first bus at 10:35am) and Bransby Horses (first bus at 10:45am) running every hour to and from the event (last bus from Bransby Horses at 3:45pm).

  • Bird Watching For All – Hartsholme Country Park, Skellingthorpe Road, Lincoln, LN6 0EY

10.30am – 12.30pm

Join local RSPB members for a guided walk around Hartsholme Country Park and Swanholme Lakes Local Nature Reserve to discover the many species of birds which reside here throughout the year. The walk will last around 2 hours, taking a route along woodland paths, which in places are undulating and at times wet and muddy. This event is free of charge and all children must be accompanied by an adult. Suitable for all age groups. Meet outside the Visitor Centre.
