Countryside Lincs, April 2018 - 114

Back for its fifth year, Countryside Lincs returns to the Lincolnshire Showground on Sunday 14th April with an interactive family day out all about food, farming and the countryside.

We have eight different zones for children to explore around the Showground, plus an action-packed timetable of displays in the Countryside Ring – including entertaining ferret racing and an impressive falconry display!

Countryside Lincs 2017 - 63
Meet farmyard animals large and small in our Farmyard Zone, including cows, sheep, horses, a donkey with her foal, a goat and her kids and guinea pigs. Come and say hello to some poultry, rabbits, and feed little lambs. Take part in willow weaving, make your own candles and bird feeders!

Countryside Lincs 2017 - 190

See tractors and farm machinery from across the ages in the Tractor Zone, and have a ride around our mini-tractor obstacle course. In the Countryside Zone you can watch exciting chainsaw carving and try your hand at country sports, become a nature detective, see amazing birds of prey and meet some very special giant tortoises. Head over to Heritage Zone to experience stone masonry and learn about our wonderful Lincolnshire heritage from times gone by.
The Exhibition Hall houses the Make It and Explore It Zones, packed full of lots of different hands-on activities. Discover lots of fun and interesting hedgehog facts at our Hedgehog Hospital, test your knowledge of water through our interactive game, learn all about dormice, explore mini bugs, plant your own seeds – plus much more!

Countryside Lincs 2017 - 95

Across the path, enter the Food Zone for hours of fun. Some of our favourite local producers will be teaching you the tricks of the trade on how to make cheese, sausage rolls and pork pies. Then, take the grown-ups to our Indoor Food Market so they can get their hands on their favourite local treats. Don’t forget to take a ride around the Showground on our popular tractor and trailer and get involved with our Easter egg hunt!

Countryside Lincs 2017 - 1

You’re welcome to bring along a picnic for your day out at Countryside Lincs, but we also have plenty of hot and cold food on offer for our visitors, from crispy duck wraps to locally produced burgers and sausages, warm cheese toasties to Belgian waffles and delicious milkshakes to traditional dairy ice cream, plus our indoor café will be serving a selection of drinks and snacks all day long.
With dozens of activities to get involved in across our indoor and outdoor zones, we promise a fun-filled day out for all of the family, whatever the weather.
