Join in the fun at Hartsholme Country Park and further afield this autumn!!

This year we are expanding our already successful program of events out to Boultham Park and the Arboretum with a traveling roadshow of events and workshops for children throughout the half term in October.

We have many different activities on offer to suit all children whether they are crafty, outdoorsy or just plain thrill seekers, and the good news is it doesn’t have to cost you the earth and you don’t need to leave the city!

Just some of this autumn’s activities are detailed below

Toddler Time (Friday 15th September, 20th October and 17th November) A fun and exciting range of themed events for the under 5’s, which for autumn include activities based around Julia Donaldson’s book’s Monkey Puzzle and Room on a Broom and going on a seed hunt!

Let the October half term week kick off with Pumpkin Carving workshops (Tuesday 24th October AM at Boultham, 24th October PM at Hartsholme and Thursday 26th October AM at The Arboretum) where the children can create their very own Jack o Lantern to ward off evil spirits that linger at this time of year.

Take advantage of the autumn harvest by going on a Seed Hunt (Saturday 18th November) around the park to see what you can find. Then spend some time in the Visitors Centre planting your very own piece of Hartsholme in your hand made origami pot!
