Join in the fun at Hartsholme Country Park and further afield this autumn!!

This year we are again our rolling out our programme of events to Boultham Park and the Arboretum with a travelling roadshow of activities and workshops for children throughout the half term in October.

We have many different activities on offer to suit all children whether they are crafty, outdoorsy or just plain thrill seekers, and the good news is it doesn’t have to cost you the earth and you don’t need to leave the city!

Just some of this autumn’s activities are detailed below

Toddler Time (19th October and 16th November) A fun and exciting range of themed events for the under 5’s, which centre around popular children’s books such as Funny Bones.

Let the October half term week kick off with Pumpkin Carving workshops (Tuesday 23rd October AM at Boultham, 23rd October PM at Hartsholme and Thursday 25th October AM at The Arboretum) where the children can create their very own Jack o Lantern to ward off evil spirits that linger at this time of year.

Stake out the fun and venture upstairs into the visitors centre to make a scary mask (Thursday 25th October pm at Hartsholme) in time for the spookiest day of the year!

Take a chance and, be prepared to be scared out of your skin on our creepy Halloween Trail  (Thursday 25th to Monday 29th October), which will lead you if you make it to a delicious and ghoulish treat!
